**47 1/2 cm head circumference--it went off the charts last week at her appointment and had the nurse practitioner worried. The nurse had measured Sarah's head and so Kelly remeasured it. Then when it was the correct measurement she wanted to know if Richard was with us because we both needed to have our heads measured. I told her that we both have huge noggins and that so does Sarah's Grandpa Bigelow (sorry for calling you out dad). She still wanted to measure my head. In case you're wondering, it's in the 98th percentile. I have always known I had a large head and this confirmed it.
**Sarah can now stand herself up anywhere. She no longer needs anything to pull herself up on.
**She now understands that she needs to turn herself around before going down the stairs. That makes me more comfortable having that big set of steep stairs with the hard tile at the bottom.
**She still loves to eat. On Sunday I told Richard about how nervous I am for her to go to nursery because she'll not want just one treat. Well, during sacrament on Sunday she crawled over to a friend who was eating a treat, took them from her, and layed there during a good majority of the meeting and ate all her cereal right up. When I would bring her back to us, she'd crawl right back over and continue on with the sugary goodness. My nursery nightmare came true 6 months early.
**She has 5 teeth.

**She has no interest in walking which is just fine with this mama. She gets wherever she wants just fine already. Richard had been rooting for her to start walking for months until some friends told us about a study they did of the 1976 (?) track olympians--all of them were late walkers, so now Richard is just fine with her crawling.

Wow! She has really grown up!! I wish they didn't have to grow up so fast, but then, we would wonder what was wrong, wouldn't we?? Her head is not too big!! It is just right! And so is yours and Richard's! They just hold more brains and it sure tells!! She is downright perfect if you ask me! I am so glad Sarah knows she has to back down the stairs! They learn so fast, just like you kids all did! Pretty soon, Mama, she won't want your help with anything!
But, again, that is OK! That is how they learn!!

Don't worry about the walking. The average age is 13 mon. Two of mine now haven't walked until they were 16 mo. old and it is kind of nice. Thanks for your updates.
Easton is off the charts for head size . . . they've never measured my head though. My pediatrician just tells me it's to make room for all the brains, so you must have a smart girl!
i didn't walk until i was 15 months old AND i have a HUGE head as well...she must just want to be like her aunty cindy! her aunty cindy who CAN'T WAIT to see her and play with her! 12 days and i'll be there baby! love you all!
oh...AND i love to eat too (unforunately). i've always wished i could take snacks and eat them in church. she really must be like me :)
That is so funny that you're worried about one snack in nursery! Nate eats all 3 hours of church, just to keep him busy. I'll have to start conditioning him.
At least Sarah's head will be covered by hair someday...poor Nate's huge noggin will definitely stick out!
